The Salvation Army of Kosciusko County recently distributed 333 gift cards to low income families to help children with shoes going back to school. The “School Worx” program is in its 17th year providing assistance. A grant of $5,000 was given by The Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary to support gift cards through Payless Shoesource and a national partnership with The Salvation Army. The Women’s Auxiliary raised funds through its annual nut sale and other events to support the outreach of The Salvation Army in the Warsaw area. “There were many grateful parents who appreciated the gift cards,” said Ken Locke, community ministries director, in the agency’s announcement.
