Police officers have a very direct message for motorists: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over. Wednesday afternoon, officers announced zero tolerance for anyone attempting to drive while impaired. Law enforcement agencies from across Indiana are participating in the national Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign which is now underway and lasts through Labor Day.“Drivers under the influence of alcohol or drugs will be immediately arrested and taken to jail,” said Bluffton Police Department Deputy Chief Kyle Randall. “Officers will be working overtime to identify and apprehend those who disregard our message.” Randall also said that the community can help in getting dangerous drivers off the road. “If you see someone driving in a manner you suspect of being impaired, there is high probability you are right,” he said. “Call 911 immediately and report the location, description and direction the vehicle is traveling. This will help officers observe the activity of the suspect and take necessary action to prevent a possible tragedy.”
