A court battle between a Goshen apartment landlord, banks, and the city are leaving the people who live there in a state of limbo. The landlord, Jerod Yoder, is the defendant in a number of civil cases for code violations, mortgage issues, and other problems. Residents of the properties in question face a myriad of issues, including plumbing problems, bug infestations, and more. Many have no choice but to live in the dilapdated homes, and nothing is being done to improve their dwellings while the court battles are in progress. One of the properties, on East Lincoln Avenue, has 44 legal actions against it.
