A judge has agreed with federal prosecutors that an Elkhart business owner is too much of a flight risk to be freed from jail before his trial on fraud charges. 59 year-old James LeDonne has been ordered to remain in the St. Joseph County Jail until his trial in January, despite his defense pleas that he wouldn't flee because of his wife and five children. LeDonne was arrested in May on charges of bank fraud, wire fraud and bankruptcy fraud as part of the multi-million dollar scheme, claiming more than 50 victims. The case, uncovered after the FBI raided Paragon Technology at County Road 6 and Dexter Drive. If convicted, he faces up to 17 years in prison.
