Purdue University lawyers are looking into a new movie that makes frequent references to the school even though the university refused to grant permission to use official trademarks and logos. “Let's Be Cops” follows the exploits of a former Purdue quarterback and his best friend as they pick up women, chase naked intruders and take on Russian crime lords. 20th Century Fox had asked the school for permission to use its official trademarks and logos last year, but Purdue officials denied the request. “Let's Be Cops” uses off-brand Purdue lettering and never actually mentions the full name “Purdue University.” But Purdue officials say the film shouldn't mention the school at all.
