The construction for Notre Dame's Campus Crossroads Project will begin once football season is finished. That's the latest word about what is being called the biggest initiative in the 172-year history of the University. The $400 million project includes construction of more than 750,000 square feet of classroom, research, student facility, digital media, performance, meeting, event, and hospitality space. All of it, centered around the stadium where the Fighting Irish will take on Rice University on Saturday. Notre Dame President, The Reverend John Jenkins, says plans have been finalized and funds have been raised. Construction will begin with work on the buildings connected to the east and west sides of the stadium. Both buildings will be topped by stadium seating.
