An Elkhart County jury has convicted one of four men for his part in a violent home invasion robbery. The two-day trial ended with the quick decision against Willie Jenkins. Prosecutors say he and another man broke into the victim's home, back in December, struck the man in the head with a bottle and forced him to the floor at gunpoint. Two others were inside the home and confined against their will during the robbery. They say Jenkins and the other suspect ransacked the place, stealing jewelry, money, and cell phones. The attackers fled the scene but were later identified by all three witnesses while speaking with officers from the Elkhart Police Department. Jenkins faces up to ninety years in prison when he's sentenced early next month.
