National Adoption Day is coming up this week. The national effort raises awareness of the number of kids in foster care– more than 110,000.
The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption says the annual awareness day has helped nearly 65,000 children move out of foster care and in with a forever family.
Though the 2017 date of celebration is Saturday November 18, you don’t have to wait until Saturday to get involved.
15% of proceeds from sales at Wendy’s on Wednesday night from 5-8 p.m. will be donated to the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption. The organization aims to help forever homes for children waiting in foster care.
