Relatives of the man prosecutors say shot to death his brother and sister-in-law took the stand in the Steven Clippinger double-murder trial on Tuesday. The shooting deaths, back in June of 2012, took place in the Mishawaka home where the couple lived. The couple's two children heard the commotion, as well as the shots that claimed their parents' lives. Steven Clippinger's teenage niece and adult nephew spoke about the horror that unfolded. They said they watched Clippenger chase their mother, Lisa Clippinger, in the home as she tried speaking with a 9-1-1 operator. They said they heard shots then found their mother, down, moments afterward. The prosecution rested its case on Tuesday.
