A bench warrant has been issued for a candidate for the District 22 Indiana House seat. 34 year-old Michael Stinfer is accused of violating the terms of his probation after a second arrest of suspicion of DUI. Stinfer was first arrested in April in Elkhart County and pleaded guilty to a charge of Driving While Intoxicated. Stinfer was pulled over a second time in August in Warsaw and now faces a felony DUI charge in Kosciusko County. The Elkhart Truth reports Stinfer had indicated on Friday he was going to pay the warrant's five-thousand dollar bond and that, despite his legal problems, he would not abandon his campaign.
