A Kentucky woman suspected of shoplifting from Target stores in seven states has been arrested in Goshen. Police say 43 year-old Shamon Smith of Louisville was taken into custody on theft charges as she left the Target store on Midway Road with stolen merchandise. Police say Smith had taken two Brightspot cell phones and two pairs of Beats headphones, worth a total of $1,200. An investigator for the Target Corporation told police that he suspected Smith to be responsible for $60,000 in thefts from stores in seven states. The Elkhart Truth reports Smith was arrested in Ohio on theft-related charges after police pulled her over for a traffic violation and found $5,000 worth of stolen clothing in her car.
