Authorities in St. Joseph County have arrested a man they say took off with his 10 year-old son after his wife had a restraining order placed against him. Police arrested Samuel Wade Scott early Friday morning after a search of a wooded area near US 20 and Quince Road that lasted more than 5 hours. Officers say Scott had been drinking and was armed when he fled with his son. They say the child was unharmed when they found Scott inside his next-door neighbor's home and placed him under arrest.
