A 24-year-old man is recovering after being grazed by a bullet.
The shooting took place around 12:50 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 11, at the intersection of Birdsell and Linden in South Bend.
Officers with the South Bend Police Department received a Shot Spotter alert.
As officers were responding, dispatch received a call from that a man was in a yard in the 300 block of Birdsell.
The victim suffered a graze wound to the head. Injury is non-life threatening. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.
The victim told police he was in his vehicle traveling on Linden listening to loud music when he felt a pain. He then turned onto Linden and into a yard.
Crime Scene Technicians recovered some casings. They also observed homes in the area had bullet holes.
At this time, there is no suspect information.
