An Indiana State Police trooper was involved in a shooting while trying to arrest a bank robbery suspect. It happened Saturday morning at a Campbell and Fetter Bank branch in Kendallville. Investigators say the trooper blocked the path of the suspect’s car at U.S. 6 and State Road 3 but the suspect accelerated and rammed the driver’s side of the trooper’s pickup. The trooper fired a shot from his handgun, but didn’t hit the suspect, who was captured after his vehicle hit stop sticks.
