If your kids are making a Christmas list this year, be sure to check it twice for potentially dangerous toys. Some textured blocks, a Dora the Explorer Backpack and a Hello Kitty accessory set are among the toys on store shelves that contain potential hazards, that according to the U-S Public Interest Research Group's annual “Trouble in Toyland” report. Pam Clough with the group says among the 24 toys on the year's list, they uncovered four main hazards. For example, the Dora the Explorer Backpack contains banned amounts of a substance that is used to make plastic more flexible. Clough says the findings highlight the need for consumers to do their research before buying.
