A 16 year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the December murder of another teenager in Elkhart. It was back in December when 16 year-old Ontario Brown was gunned down along Wagner Avenue in the Washington Gardens Apartment Complex. He died several days after being shot. Witnesses report Brown had gotten into a fight with another teen and afterward, another teen pulled out the gun and shot him. That suspect is identified as Keenan Phillp Mardis. The 16 year-old from Chicago was arrested on Monday on preliminary charges of murder, carrying of a handgun without a permit and dangerous possession of a firearm. He is being held without bond at the Elkhart County Jail.
