A Plymouth couple has been arrested for allegedly robbing a gas station. According to WNDU, the Plymouth Police Department received a call early Sunday morning from an employee of the Speedway Gas Station on N. Michigan St. regarding a robbery that had just taken place. The couple initially got away with an unknown amount of money and cigarettes that were taken in the robbery. Police say a weapon WAS NOT displayed during the robbery. Later Sunday morning, detectives spotted a man seen in the gas station surveillance video. Police then arrested that man, 27 year old Curtis Branscom and his wife, 24 year old Bethany Branscom. WNDU reports that some of the stolen cash was recovered, but police say most of it had been used to purchase heroin in South Bend immediately after the robbery. Curtis and Bethany Branscom were booked into jail with tentative charges of Robbery, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Theft, Possession of Hypodermic Syringe, and Possession of Legend Drug.
