“Friday Night Live” is the theme for this month’s First Friday events, sponsored by the Warsaw Community Development Corp. and Warsaw Party and Rental.

There are many events scheduled to take place in downtown Warsaw Friday night.

In the entertainment area at the intersection of Buffalo and Center streets, Fascinating Rhythm will take the stage at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. BAD Entertainment, a dance troupe from Elkhart, will perform at 7 p.m.

Echoes of the Past, an antique tractor club, will have an exhibit, and New Generation Farm Tractors also will have some machines on display.

There will be a sprint car showcase on South Buffalo Street, along with “Motorcycle Alley,” with various types of vehicles. Andy McCleary, Kosciusko Chamber of Commerce, said sprint car racing is very popular at Plymouth Speedway.

There is a movement to have sprint car races return to Warsaw, as well as establishing a hall of fame for area racers.

There will be the usual First Friday food court in the plaza parking lot behind city hall, with barbecue, popcorn, kettle corn, soft pretzels and other comfort foods readily available.

A kids zone will be set up on North Buffalo Street, north of Center Street. Area Boys Scouts will have a gyroscope ride. Other attractions include a basketball shot,  soccer shots, a petting zoo, Feather and Fur Bible tails and canine companions.

The Latte Lounge will have $1 kid scoops, and the Buffalo Street Emporium will have a $1 kids candy bar.

McCleary said that while some events are subject to weather conditions, most things are expected to go on as scheduled.
