The latest in a long line of discount store robberies happened over the weekend.
Much like previous encounters, two men entered the Dollar General at 3121 E. State Blvd. around opening time and told employees hand over their cellphones and store keys, ushering them to the back of the store. One of the robbers, described as a black man around 5 feet 8 inches tall and 180 points was earing a plastic wrap under a dark ski mask and gray sweat pants. The Journal Gazette reports he was carrying a black revolver. The other suspect is described as a black man around 5 feet 9 inches, about 180 pounds and wearing a plastic wrap under a dark ski mask.
The robbery is the latest in a string of Dollar General and Family Dollar locations around Allen County.
The robbers fled and were believed to have run westward.
