A Goshen resident was arrested Monday on charges of child molesting and stalking.
Cesar Bustamante, 21, was charged with having sex or performing sexual acts with a child under the age of 14, according to the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office.
The child’s guardian issued a protective order against Bustamante in May 2014. Bustamante had allegedly contacted the victim on Facebook.
The victim had left a letter at her residence stating that she would be travelling to Mexico, effectively running away from home. A relative of Bustamante informed the victim’s guardian that Bustamante and the victim had travelled together to Green Bay, Wisc., where they were found in a hotel room by local authorities.
The case is still under investigation.
