Syracuse Man Charged With Battery

Police arrested a Syracuse man Monday after he allegedly battered his wife.
A victim of multiple cases of domestic violence confided in a Syracuse police officer on July 8 about her now-separated husband.
Henry Blake Ford, 27, of 207 Pittsburgh St., Syracuse, was arrested Monday night for domestic battery.
The victim told police that Ford first beat her on July 7. While laying on his bed at his residence, Ford allegedly kicked his wife off the bed, causing her to hit her head on the corner of a table. She stated that he then grabbed her and slapped her numerous times.
Ford and the victim were having a discussion at his residence the following day when he became angry and violent again. He first hit her several times in the face, then when she fell to the floor, kicked her in the side and choked her.
The couple’s two children were in the house when the alleged battery took place. Police questioned the children, who confirmed that they could banging on the walls and their parents screaming at each other. Officers confirmed that the victim had a scratch on her right jaw, a black and blue left eye and redness all around her right eye. Ford was booked into Kosciusko County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
