Residents of Warsaw will soon have to pay a monthly storm water utility fee. The second reading of the ordinance passed unanimously at last night’s common council meeting. The fee will affect all residents and business owner within city limits beginning in July. The price of the fee depends on the size of the owner’s property. An ordinance that allows residents within Warsaw city limits to raise chickens passed its first reading last night. There are stipulations, though. Such as the chickens must be vaccinated. The ordinance still requires a second reading before becoming official. And the city is looking into an ordinance that would require property owners and renters to have certain maintenance guidelines for their homes and properties. This will be discussed in meetings to come.
