The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is again reminding of a salmonella outbreak linked to Kellogg’s Honey Smacks cereal. The agency says no one should be buying or selling any form of it.
The cereal was recalled in June, but the Food and Drug Administration has still found the cereal for sale in some stores.
This comes after federal health officials confirm another 30 people have fallen ill in connection to the outbreak.
WNDU reports there have been 130 cases of people getting sick in 36 states. A statement released by the CDC says 34 people were sick enough to be hospitalized. No one has died.
Regardless of the package size or best by date, the CDC says not to eat Honey Smacks. They advise everyone to check for the cereal at home, then throw it away or return it.
