Thallemer Eyes 2nd Mayoral Term

Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer announced Friday he is seeking a second term as mayor.
“On behalf of our citizens, businesses, employers and industry partners, it has been both a privilege and a blessing to lead our community as your mayor. It has also been an honor to lead a very dedicated staff of city employees,” Thallemer is quoted as saying in a provided press release.
“The past three years I have worked within the framework of a strategic plan that has concentrated on continued planned growth and development of our community. Along with the council, we have worked hard with the community to share vision and develop consensus.   Despite the constraints on revenues, we have worked even harder to identify available public and private sources of revenue to leverage with limited local funds for projects that improve livability and quality of life in our great community.”
“While pleased with the progress, we have much work to accomplish. Be it developing infrastructure for future economic development, improving our neighborhoods, staying ahead of road maintenance, or strengthening our public safety net to the south with a third fire station, we have much important work ahead of us. This ambitious first-term mayor’s enthusiasm was tempered by the slower pace of reality. We simply need more time to meet the goals and objectives we set out to accomplish,” the release continued.
“I am announcing today my intention to seek a second term as your mayor.  With your support, it would be an honor to continue to serve the City of Warsaw.”
