Dave Baumgartner has filed for one of two Warsaw City Council at-large seats. The primary is in May, with the general election in November. The seats are currently held by Cindy Dobbins, who is seeking re-election, and Elaine Call, who is not seeking re-election. Baumgartner, a Democrat, has coached and taught for 36 years in public schools, with 29 of those years at Warsaw Community Schools. He graduated from Purdue University in 1976 and currently serves on Warsaw Plan Commission. “I am a long-time public servant who wants to serve the community that has been so good to me,” Baumgartner said.
