Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer has appointed local attorney Scott Reust, of Rockhill Pinnick Attorneys, LLP, as the next City Attorney for Warsaw, effective January 1, 2019. Reust will replace current City Attorney Mike Valentine. Valentine will retire at the end of this year after serving the city for thirty-four years under the leadership of three mayors.
Reust, a Huntington native, has been a practicing attorney since 1996. He is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Law. He is a member of both the Kosciusko County Bar Association and the Indiana State Bar Association. His practice areas include government litigation, land use and zoning, general civil litigation, general criminal litigation, family law, and personal injury law.
He also serves the community as an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, Kosciusko County Community Foundation Board of Directors, Kosciusko County Shrine Club, Warsaw Breakfast Optimists, Knights of Columbus, Pierceton Masonic Lodge, and Kosciusko County Drug Treatment Court.
“I am excited for Scott to join our team as the next City Attorney,” shared Thallemer. “His experience in municipal law, as well as his involvement and investment in our community, positions him as an excellent resource and advisor for the City.”
Reust will work alongside current City Attorney Mike Valentine through the end of the year in a transitional role.
