Everything You Need To Know For Today’s Primary Elections

It's election day in Kosciusko County and along with it comes the vote on the Warsaw Community Schools' referendum. The referendum would allow Warsaw Community Schools to finance the construction and replacement of Lincoln Elementary School and the renovations and improvements to Washington Elementary School and Edgewood Middle School. The price is estimated to cost no more than $39,900,000 and is estimated to increase the property tax rate for debt service by a maximum of .138 cents per $100 of assessed valuation over the 20 year life of the bonds. Contested offices for today's voting also include clerk-treasurer, Lynne Christiansen and Larry Ladd; and at-large council, Cindy Dobbins, Connie Fribley, Patrick Loebs, Justin Risner, Juergen Voss, Jack Wilhite and David Baumgartner. Uncontested races include mayor, Joe Thallemer; city council District 1, Jeff Grose; District 2, Charlie Smith; District 3, Mike Klondaris; District 4, Jerry Frush; and District 5, Diane Quance.
