The Warsaw Community High School Jazz Band, under the direction of Mickey Ratliff, performed at the Elkhart Jazz Festival Saturday. The Festival has become one of the premier jazz festivals in the country, according to Ratliff. The 2015 festival included performances by dozens of jazz acts, including featured artists David Sanborn and Big Bad Voodoo Daddy. This was the third time in four years that the WCHS Jazz Band received an invitation to perform at the Festival. The band's performance featured guest artist Randy Reinhart, an accomplished jazz trumpet player who has collaborated with artists such as Bucky Pizzarelli, Dan Barrett, Jake Hanna, Howard Alden and Warren Vache, Ratliff indicated.
