The new commander of the Kosciusko County Jail is named in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the family of a Noble County inmate.
Shane Coney was Noble County Jail commander before starting his new job with Kosciusko County.
Coney is named in the lawsuit from the family of Markus Middleton.
The 23-year-old man hanged himself inside the Noble County Jail in October 2017.
The lawsuit says Middleton was harassed, threatened and denied mental health treatment at the jail.
