Students in Warsaw are going to have a chance to be dual-language speakers. The Indiana Department of Education has awarded $100,000 to Warsaw Community Schools for its Dual Language Immersion Pilot Program. It will allow the district to establish a Spanish dual language program at Eisenhower Elementary, meaning that half of its instruction will be in English and half of its instruction in Spanish. Superintendent Glenda Ritz says says the pilot program will “broaden the horizons” of Hoosier students that participate in the program. Eisenhower Elementary will work with parents on implementing the program.
