Warsaw based Instrumental Machine and Development (IMD), a supplier of specialized orthopedic instrumentation, sterilization trays and accessories announced on Monday their plans to expand the company’s facility in Warsaw.
IMD President Todd Speicher made the announcement at Monday’s Common Council meeting at Warsaw City Hall. The expansion is expected to add up to 34 net jobs by 2022.
The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered IMD up to $230,000 conditional tax credits based on the company’s job creation plans. The tax credits are performance-based, meaning until Hoosiers are hired, the company is not eligible to claim incentives. The Warsaw Common Council approved phase-in of property taxes on real and personal property at the request of the Kosciusko Economic Development Corporation.
Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer commented on Monday that the city is “always pleased to see companies like IMD continuously choose to grow in our community.”
IMD is located on Pound Drive on the city’s north side.
