A former sheriff of Kosciusko County passed away late Thursday morning.
C. Alan Rovenstine, who was residing at Miller’s Merry Manor, had been battling cancer. He was 81-year old. Rovenstine was first elected to the sheriff’s position in 1979 and served two consecutive terms. He also served two additional terms beginning in 1991.
Service arrangements for Rovenstine are pending through the McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel.
