Warsaw’s common council seats will continue to have some familiar names, along with one new face.
Josh Finch will be that new face in District 2, defeating Chris Plack by 22 votes. Finch, in an e-mail to News Now Warsaw, said after his victory, “I’m grateful for the support I received tonight. I am excited to get to work to serve district 2 and the city. It was a very hard fought race. Chris and I were grinding right down to the last day. He is a great man, and I am pleased to have gotten to know him through this campaign. I met a lot of wonderful people along the way and developed a few new friendships.
In Districts 1, 3 and 5, names you are used to will continue to represent your areas. Jeff Grose defeated Sara Strahan with 80% of the votes, Michael Klondaris won with 75% of the votes over Roxanne Coffelt, and Diane Quance stays with 73% of the votes, defeating Jack Brunetto.
Throughout the rest of county, Paula Kehr-Wicker will be the Syracuse Clerk-Treasurer. In Claypool, it’s Patricia Warner winning the Clerk-Treasurer race, with Benny Stage, Jr. winning the council’s north district seat. Patricia Cook won the Clerk-Treasurer race in Etna Green, Michael Searfoss the Clerk-Treasurer in Leesburg, and Myra Mast edged out a win by three votes for the Clerk-Treasurer position in Pierceton.
Kosciusko County voter turnout was 9.26%.
