A teenager was injured in a one-vehicle accident Sunday. The 16-year-old boy was transported by Lutheran EMS to an area hospital with facial bleeding.
According to information provided by Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Sgt. Chris Francis, the 16-year-old was driving a 2004 Hyundai Sonata southbound on CR 700E. He later informed investigating deputies that he hit a log in the road, causing the vehicle to leave the east side of the road and overturn.
A small fire was caused by a tire, but was extinguished by the fire department.
