While a typical white Christmas didn’t happen this year, the record temperatures still made for a memorable one.
The temperatures topped 60 degrees in downtown Warsaw, which is nearly 30 degrees above the normal high for this time of year. The National Weather Service said highs in South Bend and Fort Wayne officially hit 59 degrees on Christmas Day, making for the second warmest on record.
The above normal temperatures are expected to continue through Sunday, before a cold front moves through to bring temperatures closer to normal into next week.
