Members of the Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory assisted in a rescue in Starke County on Wednesday after a man fell into a grain bin.
Officials say a call came in around 10:50 AM to the Starke County Co-op, northwest of Knox, where the man was nearly engulfed in soybeans. Warsaw responded along with three other departments as part of a Mutual Aid Box Alarm System, or MABAS, call. The teams worked for several hours before the man was able to be extricated from the bin.
The man was pulled from the bin around 2:30 PM, and was said to be in stable condition.
