A man had to be rescued from his pick-up truck after it slid off the road and into a pond in the 4000-block of East Wooster Road Wednesday morning, just west of Wooster.
A call came in for assistance after 11 AM, when the man called 9-1-1 and said he could not get out of the truck. Scanner traffic at the time said the truck was not sinking, and it was sitting about three feet deep in the pond on the south end of the road.
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory PIO Max Kinsey said a ladder was used to help get the man out of the truck. There was no update on his condition.
