Restrictions on Monday in Indiana have closed off dining in at some favorite places for people. One of those is the Warsaw Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #1126 on West Center Street, where many vets go for meals on a daily basis.
Tim Harrell, president of the VFW auxiliary, wants those vets to know that while they cannot come and sit down for a meal, the food they enjoy can still be taken home or even delivered to them.
Harrell also mentioned that those vets who live closer to Claypool have a place to go that is looking to help vets with meals during this time, the Someplace Else Saloon on South Main Street. Between the two, they want to make sure local veterans stay fed.
Both places will also deliver to vets if they cannot drive out to one of the establishments. Harrell understands that the current conditions could place financial burdens on vets, and he wants to stress that they can still eat a meal if they don’t have the money to front.
“If vets are unable to pay for their meal right now, we can cover the cost. Just call us, let us know your situation, and we will make it work.”
Those looking to place an order can call the Warsaw VFW at 574-267-2768 or the Someplace Else Saloon at 574-566-3280.
