Ten new coronavirus cases were reported in Kosciusko County on Thursday according to the county health department.
This brings the total up to 283, along with two COVID related deaths. County health officials said that of the 283, 215 are still considered “active” cases, meaning that there have been 68 recoveries from the virus.
The Regenstrief Institute has defined recovered individuals as “Distinct individuals with a COVID-19 positive test greater than 21 days ago who have not been hospitalized PLUS Distinct patients with COVID-19 positive tests who have been hospitalized and were discharged and have had at least 7 days to recover.”
Across the state, another 449 Hoosiers have tested positive for coronavirus and 25 more Hoosiers have died, the Indiana State Department of Health said Thursday. A total of 38,748 Hoosiers have now tested positive for the virus, out of 327,342 people tested overall.
The percentage of cases in Indiana that are considered positive is down to 11.8 percent.
