Court Appointed Special Advocates of Kosciusko County will host the 14th annual Holiday Festival fundraiser Nov. 14.
The event will be from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Image Air Charters at Warsaw Municipal Airport, 2815 Foreman Drive, Warsaw.
The event will consist of approximately 500 guests including corporate sponsors, business leaders and other CASA supporters from northern Indiana, according to a CASA press release.
Instead of the traditional beer and wine tasting, each attendee will be provided with two free drink vouchers to use on beer, wine or a signature cocktail. In addition there will be a cash bar provided by Noa Noa.
The event will feature food vendors from local restaurants and catering companies that will prepare Mediterranean inspired dishes. Entertainment will be provided by Symphony of the Lakes. There is an option of purchasing a VIP ticket that permits people to be a part of an upscale food and a wine tasting cocktail reception from 6 to 7 p.m. before the main event.
The theme is “CASAblanca – Here’s look’n out for you, kid.” Guests will find themselves stepping right into the atmosphere from the movie Casablanca. for more information on how to attend or support the festival call 574-372-2401.
CASA is a non-profit organization committed to speaking for the best interest of children who are at risk for abuse and neglect, the release states. CASA recruits, trains and supports volunteers to serve as advocates for children in the family court system.
With help from the community, this year’s festival is expected to raise funds over $100,000, which will be used to help local children in need of services. The demand for CASA is greater than ever and the cost associated to serve a single child can be as much as $1,000, according to the press release.
Support at this year’s event will enable CASA to continue training volunteers to serve as advocates for abused and neglected children and allow for the necessary tools needed for future volunteer recruitment and ongoing supervision.
