The excitement was high when United Way Pacesetter The Bowen Center began its activities for the 2016 campaign, according to information from United Way.
Their giving participation grew greatly and their donations more than doubled from last year’s totals, says United Way. Using various employee-centered activities, including the infamous Bowen Center Wheel – much like the wheel on the Price Is Right only with “Bowen Prizes” – employees were entertained as they had a lunch of pizza and pop.
Rick Patton, director of the Moving Forward program, expressed the hope this program gives to residents of Enchanted Hills, involving education, vocational training and community growth. He showed a video presentation and explained the changes taking place with the “Moving Forward” program with Enchanted Hills residents.
United Way is thankful for companies such as the Bowen Center that participate as Pacesetters for the campaign, according to the information.
