Three individuals were arrested last week in connection to cocaine dealing in Kosciusko County.
According to Kosciusko County prosecutors, Silver Lake Police Department received information that Christopher Lamb, a contractor at a processing plant, was dealing cocaine while at work. Informants advised that Lamb was living with Michael Moriarty in Kosciusko County. Lamb, 55, and Moriarty, 28, are both from Illinois.
Police pulled over a black Ford Explorer with a Illinois license plate on Wednesday night for not having a working license plate light. Police observed the two people in the front of the vehicle switch seats. Moriarty was in the front seat and Lamb and Gabrielle Laffery were in the back seat.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s officer Travis Shively brought his canine to conduct an outer air search and the canine responded. In the car, officers found 16.4 grams of cocaine, marijuana, two syringes and digital scales, according to the provided information.
They also found several Schedule III controlled substances in assorted pill bottles and $4,270 in cash. Moriarty allegedly had needle marks on both of his arms.
Moriarty and Lamb were both arrested Wednesday night, Moriarty for dealing and possessing marijuana and Lamb for possession of cocaine. Laffery, 20, Illinois, was arrested Friday afternoon for cocaine possession and booked into Kosciusko County Jail with a $15,250 bond.
