Warsaw Residents Charged In Beating

Two Warsaw residents have been arrested after allegedly beating a man so badly he was sent to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne.
Lori Aguilera, 38, and Armando Gutierrez Jr., 52, both of 340 E. Levi Lee Road, Lot 158, Warsaw, were arrested Monday night for robbery resulting in serious bodily injury on bonds of $20,250 each.
According to the probable cause affidavit from the Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office, Gutierrez, Aguilera and two others still being investigated entered the home the victim was sleeping in on Nov. 1 and began hitting him in the face. The victim told police that the intruders had possession of a black handgun, but never threatened to use it.
The suspects stole the victim’s wallet with $500 in it and his cell phone. Officers spoke with a witness who said he left after he saw the four people enter the house and wake the victim up.
The victim was put in the intensive care unit at Lutheran Hospital for possible brain hemorrhaging and bleeding behind the left eye. An update on the condition of the victim has not been provided as of this morning.
