At Monday’s Board of Zoning Appeals meeting, Arc Design Resources representative Ryan Swanson said the company is requesting three variances from development standards for several setbacks and buffers to the old Schoop’s location at the corner of US 30 and Old Road 30.
Assistant City Planner Jonny Latsko says it poses some difficulties with those setbacks and buffers, along with landscaping:
Traffic at the location was another concern, but board member Dan Smith said he didn’t believe there were too many accidents at that location from other businesses that have operated on that corner. The BZA approved the variances. No opening date for the restaurant was discussed.
