Elkhart Police are searching for the suspect they say robbed the Martin's store on North Nappanee Street early Tuesday morning. The suspect entered the store around 6:05, displayed a handgun, and demanded money. After receiving the money the suspect took off. The suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot-4 to 5-foot-6, 165 to 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. The suspect was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and had his face covered. There was no report of any injuries. If you have any information, contact the Elkhart Police Department.
