Area entities receive grant money through state’s Community Crossings matching grant program

Several area entities will be receiving money from the state as part of the Community Crossings matching grant.

The awards were announced on Tuesday, with communities receiving up to $1 million for various projects. Locally, Kosciusko County will receive just under $497,000 and Syracuse is set to get about $344,000. Surrounding the area, Elkhart County will receive $273,000, Noble County just over $123,000, Wabash County roughly $137,000 and Fulton County about $200,000.

Since 2016, the state has awarded $739 million in state funds to support local road and bridge projects throughout Indiana. Find a full list of the recipients here.
