2 Injured In Palestine Crash



KCSD Press Release – Kosciusko County Sheriff's Deputies and emergency personnel responded today at 7:25 a.m. to the location of State Road 25 and County Road 550 West after receiving 9-1-1 calls of a vehicular crash. Officers arrived and located a blue, 2001 Chevrolet, driven by Sabrina A. Gothan, 43, Mentone, that had been struck by a white, 2001 Chrysler, driven by Scott E. Cochran, 33, Warsaw.  Gothan was removed from her vehicle and airlifted to Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, in serious condition with multiple injuries.  Cochran was transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, in fair/stable condition, with shoulder pain.

Kosciusko County Sheriff's Deputies determined that Cochran was southbound on County Road 550 West, and failed to yield at the intersection of State Road 25.  Cochran's vehicle impacted Gothan's vehicle that was travelling eastbound on State Road 25.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department was assisted at the scene by the Burket and Mentone Fire Departments, along with Mentone and Lutheran E.M.S.
