Local unemployment numbers see slight drop

Little change was seen in local unemployment numbers going from October to November.

The latest data from the Indiana Department of Workforce Development shows Kosciusko County falling one-tenth of a percentage point, going from 4.4 to 4.3 percent. The labor force in the county dropped by about 500, but the number of unemployed also dropped by about 100.

Similar small drops in unemployment were seen in neighboring counties, with Marshall and Wabash Counties having the biggest declines, dropping four-tenths of a percentage point. Overall unemployment in Indiana for November was 4.9 percent.
