A crash on Friday afternoon in Wabash County claimed the life of a woman.
Indiana State Police said troopers responded to the 6400-block of County Road 1100 South, where 21-year old Kaitlyn Byrum of Amboy was eastbound just before 1 PM in her car, where for an unknown reason, Byrum’s car went off the northside of the road and into a ditch and flipped over.
Byrum was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say a preliminary investigation does not indicate speed or the uses of intoxicants were contributing factors in the crash. Byrum was wearing a seatbelt; however the impact of the crash was not able to prevent a fatal injury.
