A small match request was discussed for the city to chip in to the Pike Lake Association’s feasibility study of Deeds Creek.
MS4 Coordinator Ryan Workman presented the request to the board for $4,500 for a cash match, which would go into the additional $36,000 the association was able to secure through a Lake and River Enhancement grant from the DNR.
Workman said the study is to look into ways to reduce downstream sedimentation that goes through Deeds Creek from Little Chapman Lake into Pike Lake:
Workman said Pike Lake has the lowest water quality of the three lakes in Warsaw due to sedimentation and nutrient loading.
